Race a friend or a random opponent through the same seven-letter hive. Every word must use the center letter, longer words score more, and a pangram that uses all seven letters earns a bonus. The moment either of you finds a word it's locked for the other, so speed matters - you have 10 minutes to outscore your rival.

How to play SpellBee Duel?

1The Rules

You and your opponent see the same 7 letters. Make as many words as you can. Every word must be at least 4 letters long and must include the center letter. You don't have to use all the letters, and a letter can be used more than once.

2Points and Pangrams

A 4-letter word earns 1 point. Longer words earn 1 point for each letter. Every hive hides at least one pangram, a word that uses all seven letters. Find one and you get an extra 7 points.

3Locked Words

It's a race. The moment either player finds a word, it's locked and the other player can't score it. Find words fast and go after the long ones before your rival does.

410 Minutes to Win

Each match lasts 10 minutes. Start a new game to be paired with the next player who is searching, or invite a friend with a link and room code. When the clock hits zero, the player with the most points wins.

Why can't I submit a word my opponent found?

Words are locked for the rest of the match once either player finds them. Each word can only be scored once, so look for words your opponent hasn't found yet.

Where are my stats saved?

Your stats are saved in your own browser. Clearing your browser data will reset them.
